M Girvan & Sons, a Building and Civil Engineering company was founded in 1969 and is based in Dungannon, Northern Ireland. From 1969 to 1984 the company undertook a variety of Civil Engineering and Building projects. Since 1984 the emphasis has moved towards the Building element of the company with a wide range of Design and Build, New Build and Refurbishment project undertaken. With clients including a number of Public bodies such as the Education Board, Queen's University of Belfast and The Royal Group of Hospitals we are continually building and developing our reputation in both professionalism and quality.

The company was founded and is managed by Maurice Girvan with Helen Girvan providing office based support. Andrew Girvan B.Sc. joined as Senior Contracts Manager in 1992 and Ian Girvan BEng. joined as Contracts Manager in 1999. Both Andrew and Ian joined Maurice and Helen as Partners in 2001.

As a family based firm we provide a personal service to all our Client / Employee relationships. A short route to the top of the management structure allows a better response to our Clients requirements and an ability to maintain a 'close eye' on all our projects, large or small, and consistently return a high quality product within budget and on time.

With a current workforce of 25 employees we recognise the importance of investing in the people we employ. Working in conjunction with the Construction Industry Training Board we aim to maintain and improve the quality of both our product and the people we employ. From August 2003 all our employees have attained their appropriate CSR certificates.

Our office utilises two networked PCs with Broadband internet connections. The office staff are familiar with MS Office, MS Project, SAGE Accounting Products, AutoCAD R14, Internet and E-Mail software.

M Girvan & Sons are Equal Opportunity Employers. It is the responsibility of both management and employees to ensure the Equal opportunity policy continues.

Andrew Girvan B.Sc. is responsible for all pre-tender and contractual Health & Safety procedures.
